Growing up

Since Hudson was born I have written down little notes in a book to keep track of all those little things I seem to forget and want to remember so here it goes:

3 weeks:
Hudson must be growing, he eats every 2.5 hours but has been having a hard time napping. Inconsistent but thats newborns I guess. He only wakes up 2 times at night which is nice. He does spit a lot lately and must be burped and upright.
4 weeks: Slept 9-3 then again till 6am. Has a lot of burps
6 weeks: Super spitty, fussy all day. Sleeps 10 minutes at a time. Sleeps on tummy and from 8pm to 1am. Not a fan of the swing. To put to sleep I walk around the house. Really hard to deal with his crying all day and not knowing why.
Rolled over 2 times on March 15.
Slept all night March 13. 8:30-6
Still eats every 2 hours
4 months
Sleeps 8 or so hours at night then again for 2-3. Eats every 3 hours. Awake for 1.5 hours and then nap time. Likes to be bounced to sleep. Super smiley. Starting to grab thing and rolls on and off.
6 months
Sits alone easily. Eats everything in sight. Bottle fed and nursing now. Not napping or sleeping really well.
7 months
Crawling well now. Bottle fed, we gave up on nursing he just wasn't getting enough to eat. Sleeps from 8-5:30 or so then till 7. Naps every 3 hours. Has the cutest smile, loudest high pitched scream. Imitates us nodding our head yes, blinking our eyes. Babbles all day. Can't stand to be out of mom's sight unless  one of the boys is there to talk and play with him. Loves the tramp. Started jumping when you hold him. Eats seriously everything in sight! Is as big as a one year old and barely fits in his carseat.

4 months

At four months Hudson is so smiley! He loves his brothers and for things to be busy around the house. He laughs all the time and likes you to bounce in front of him. He started eating rice cereal and he eats so well. He really gobbles it all up. He refuses to take a bottle so we are trying to get him used to one by feeding him some water in a bottle after he eats his cereal. He is really hard to get to sleep and has been since week three. I try to be consistent with something but he just doesn't like anything not even been held and rocked. His arms fly around like crazy. He is rolling from tummy to back so lying him down awake in his crib to fall asleep doesn't really work out either. He is eating every 3 hours now and still waking up in the night. We were going for 8 hour stints at night till we started solid foods. So perhaps we will get back to that or better once his tummy gets used to it. We love his smile and his bright blue eyes. As his mother I am so thankful to be able to take care of him everyday. I won't say its all smiles and laughter there are some tears and frustration. But with a lot of prayer and reassurance from a wonderful father and husband. Jeff is so calm and seems to know just how to calm.

3 months

Hudson is three months old now and is still growing rapidly. He is 15 lbs. already and super long fitting into 6 month clothes. He is looking at his hands a lot and trying to look at toys. He loves for his brothers to talk to him and dad can make him laugh the most. He sleeps 8 hours at night with a feeding and then another 3 hrs. before he wakes up. We found out he has a hernia in his groin and has to have surgery in July but it doesn't seem to bother him, it just grosses his mom out when she pushes it back in. He has to be bounced to sleep and won't let you sit in the rocking chair. Sleeps through most noise, mostly because he has to. He stays awake for about an hour and fifteen minutes before needing to go down for a nap. I love his smiles and we are so lucky to have him here happy and healthy!

1 month old

Hudson is one month old and getting big. He is wearing 3-6 month clothes. He hasn't looked you in the eyes yet but will smile every once in a while. At about 3 weeks he threw his mother for a loop and started spitting everywhere. If he cries its because he has a bubble in his tummy and needs to burp and spit up. Reminds me of Jaxon. I started putting him to sleep on his tummy because he will actually sleep for longer than 10 minutes. He could give or take a pacifier and I have to force him to take it from me. He wakes up 2 times at night usually now that I put him down to sleep on his tummy. Jake loves to talk to him and is great to help him calm down when he fusses. Hunter loves him and just wants to kiss him everytime he sees him. Jaxon is busy and is great at holding him when he can hold himself still.
